Job Title: Medical Information, Payer & Health Systems Manager
Location : Titusville, NJ 08560
50% onsite (2 days remote/3 days onsite)
Duration : 12 months contract (possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $61-69/hr on w2
Notes:
We are specifically looking for candidates with recent and robust medical information experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong preference for those who have worked with payer related assets such as AMCP dossiers, compendia, Medicaid testimony etc.
Job Description:
Medical Writer Leads the development and timely dissemination of tailored, evidence-based scientific materials for assigned therapeutic area products.
• Supports the development of AMCP standard and pre-approval dossiers, Medicaid formulary requests, and custom requests working collaboratively with Medical Affairs and Real-World Value & Evidence (RW V&E) therapeutic area leads.
• Engages in shaping and development of the Payer Digital Assets in collaboration with Med Info CSI-Digital partners.
• Works closely with RW V&E Field, Medical Affairs Therapeutic Area team(s) and Medical Information Scientific Engagement Contact Center to guide creation and delivery of responses to unsolicited Medical Information Requests from Payers and Health Systems
• Supports the development and dissemination of scientific information in support of assigned products to Clinical Decision Resource Organizations (CDRO) in partnership with Medical Information Affairs, RW V&E, SCG, Therapeutic Teams
• Support interactions with drug compendia and collaborates with AD, Med Info PHS and business partners to evaluate strategies for compendia interactions.
• Ensures optimized delivery of high-quality and efficient Payer scientific content and materials by vendors, provides real-time feedback and first line scientific review of materials as needed. Voice of Customer and Metrics - 20%
• Leverage customer voice and other sources of customer information and identify actionable items to enhance development of Payer and Health Systems materials. Projects and Research - 10%
• Participates in ad-hoc projects and activities as assigned by management.
• Conducts benchmark and research on the landscape of Payer, Healthcare Intermediaries, and health systems.
Must Haves:
Excellence in leadership skills, collaboration in a matrix environment, influencing, ability to work both individually and as a team contributor.
Excellence in communication (both written and presentation)
Expertise in the healthcare industry, clinical knowledge, or practice across multiple therapeutic areas
There is 10% domestic travel involved
The role is a Manager of Medical Information, Payer, and Health Systems
An ideal candidate will be a Pharmacist with a Pharm D education
Will accept candidates with a Masters Degree or any candidates that have a Fellowship (a plus)
This role is going to be a Medical Writer
Will be looking at data, analyze the data, and be able to put together a scientific answer to the inquiry presented
The candidate will have to know how to generate a scientific response to an incoming client question
Must be able to work within a team environment
Real World exp is helpful
Will be working with Medical Affairs and the Legal depts
Highly recommend a candidate with Pharma industry exp (healthcare)
Must have 2-4 years of experience in Medical Information
Payer regulated exp
Will be required to work with different stakeholders
Top 3 Skills:
Have leadership skills, and be able to work as an individual and with a team
Medical Writing is REQUIRED
Have expertise in the healthcare industry or across multiple therapeutic areas
Qualifications Education:
MS or equivalent in Pharmacy or related science field required. Advanced Degree (e.g., PharmD) or PhD is preferred.
Experience:

• A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in Medical Information or Health Economics and Outcomes Research or specialized postdoctoral training in Medical Information or Health Economics and Outcomes Research
• Expertise in the healthcare industry, clinical knowledge or practice across multiple therapeutic areas
• Excellence in leadership skills, collaboration in a matrix environment, influencing and communication (both written and presentation) is required.
• Expertise working in a matrix environment with cross functional teams required.
• Customer Focus - drives excellent customer service and exhibits understanding of healthcare landscape.
• This position based in Horsham, NJ and may require up to 10% domestic travel for conference attendance and company meetings.
Preferred:
• Working knowledge of United States health care systems and payers - specifically understanding business models and perspectives of managed care and public sector
